Here is the story of how our Orthodontists curated a stunning smile from crooked teeth for a teenager. This is one of the countless number of smiles we have transformed impeccably.

A 14-year-old girl visited our clinic last year. She was frustrated with her crooked teeth resulting in a flawed smile. She wanted to get her teeth straightened but unsure about the proper treatment. When we evaluated her dentition, we found that she had severe crowding, as most of her teeth overlapped.

The girl was skeptical as felt that she was too late to get dental braces. After assuring her, age could not restrict one from getting braces and moreover, 10 to 14 is the right age to get braces as a kid.

Generally, Invisalign (Clear aligners or Clear braces) is recommended to streamline crowded teeth for teenagers and adults since they are translucent. The invisible braces work like metal braces, however, Invisalign would not push teeth into the correct positions if the teeth underwent a higher degree of rotation. In such circumstances, metal brace is suggested.

The metal brackets are bonded over the teeth with an adhesive once she was okay. Then an arch wire was attached to the brackets. The wire is responsible for exerting force for teeth movement. Later, ligatures were fixed to keep the arch wire securely tied into the brackets.

After the braces were fixed, she followed our dental doctors’ guidelines to take care of the metal brace. Likely, she visited our clinic every 4 to 8 weeks for routine checkups as we advised.

As her teeth were extremely crowded, she had to wear the braces for around one year. Every time we checked on her, we noticed improvements in how her teeth moved.

Her endurance and long wait of 12 months have presented her with the beautiful smile she wanted.

She was ecstatic when she saw her teeth in the mirror after we had taken the braces off. The girl was speechless due to overjoy as she had finally fled away from the embarrassments she underwent for years due to her irregular teeth alignment.

Then, our orthodontists advised her to wear dental retainers for a few months to stabilize the teeth after removing the braces

The girl understood that teeth straightening treatments would not end once the braces were removed. Extended care is required for a short tenure to achieve long-lasting orthodontic benefits. she is now wearing retainers as a part of dental care.

Irregular teeth alignment is a common dental problem due to various factors such as genes, poor infanthood habits, etc. Our orthodontists are specialized in making your teeth straight and guaranteeing the elegant smile you are yearning for.
