Thinking you are irregular with dental hygiene till now and are now serious about improving your routine, we’ve got fantastic news: you can still do it! To do it, first concentrate on creating the new habit — once it’s done, people prefer to execute tasks naturally based on contextual indications. Recognize achievable goals, try 10 weeks of doing them at the same time daily, and monitor your progress. It is never too late to begin with these five easy healthy-mouth habits, no matter how your dental hygiene habits were like in the past.

The first thing is brushing your teeth before breakfast

Stay into the practice of brushing your teeth whenever you wake up. It is not only nice to have a refreshing mouth as you welcome the day, but brushing also cleans any bacteria that have accumulated overnight, restricting your coffee and breakfast from getting trapped in the sticky plaque.

Tip: Rinse your mouth with a mouthwash to freshen up.  Rinse with a small amount of water — the aim is simply to help remove residual food particles.

Set a timer for two minutes

Usually, many people brush daily, but they really don’t do it long enough to clear plaque effectively. Set the timer for two minutes every time before brushing to ensure you are brushing for the whole time period that is recommended. Try using an electric toothbrush for effective results, its only disadvantage is cost.

Tip: Always enjoy brushing by listening to an album, watching the television, and listening to a podcast.

Scrape Your Tongue twice a day

Scrape your tongue after brushing your teeth. Scraping your tongue gently to eliminate plaque can assist you to get rid of bacteria that might otherwise settle on your teeth. Every evening, flossing will protect you from those bacteria games too.

Tip: Scraping the tongue can help stay away from bad breath as like flossing.

Use a straw to drink soda or avoid it

Start to use a straw to hold the liquid safe from the teeth if you choose to consume sugary beverages such as soda. Because drinking sweet beverages are related to health problems starting from tooth decay to higher mortality, it is better to eliminate sugary drinks completely. Drink more amount of water instead, it boosts your overall health too.

Tip: Holding a reusable metal straw at the office, in the utensil cabinet, and in the car, makes it easy to search for a straw.

Crunch Those Favorite Veggies

Regularly eating crunchy veggies may help to maintain your mouth clean and healthy. Chewing enhances saliva production, which serves as a mouthwash naturally.

Tip: Choose your beloved raw veggie, like carrot sticks, and include it in your daily snack routine.
